Gaining National HS Status is just one reason schools have to have policies with the minimum evidence for self-validation asking for around 13 policies. Policies can be seen as an unnecessary burden with the requirements often seen to be irrelevant for a particular school. CHSP believe policies should be a benefit to the school and that they should be practical and fit for YOUR purpose.
Our one day workshop will help you write policies that meet guidance and requirements set out by the DfES, are relevant to the needs of the school community and are reflected in day to day practice.
We will look at the policies required for Healthy Schools with a focus on SEX & RELATIONSHIPS EDUCATION and DRUGS EDUCATION / INCIDENTS MANAGEMENT, as we know they are considered to be the most problematic.
The day will also include opportunities to share experiences and good practice with colleagues and a ‘Policy Surgery’ (on any policy required for HS status) with members of the CHSP |
