Good practice "tips" in supporting the overweight 5-11 year old
“The aim of our work is not to treat obesity or implement a weight loss programme for the individual but to encourage some positive lifestyle changes which may have an impact on weight.  These cases need to be referred to medical expert intervention and weight reduction in children should only be undertaken under the supervision of a GP or registered dietician”

BMJ published study by John Reilly Glasgow University
