Re-Gain host a number of projects aimed at supporting people with mental health issues, and both develop new projects and develop existing ones using ongoing feedback from service users. One of these projects, Nightlink, is a free-phone based service offering a "listening ear" to anyone aged 18 years or over experiencing mental health difficulties. The phone line is accredited to a nationally recognised quality standard.
The Sanctuary Project offers people a "safe haven" environmement which can offer an escape from whatever issues are being faced at a given time. Those wanting to utilise the project for an extended stay will need to have a Care-Coordinator from the Community Mental Health Team, who can then make the necessary arrangements. Residents can stay for a maximum of two weeks at a time with up to two visits a year permitted.
The N.E.S.T project offers a similar service to the helpline, in that emotional support is offered to those facing varying crises. However this is a text based service, so will be particularly useful to those who are perhaps initially reluctant about talking to someone over the phone, or who are looking to make inital exploratory contact with the service as people can the progress to using the phoneline should they deem it appropriate.
