Council 11+ Early Help Targeted Youth Support Workers
Early Help Targeted Youth Support Workers provide support for young people (11-19) who would benefit and have asked or agreed for additional support through the service request process.
Support is offered by skilled practitioners to young people who would like the opportunity to be listened to, supported, challenged and advocated for to make improvements in their lives with a wide range of issues including but not limited to self-esteem, self-confidence, decision making, relationships (peers and family), housing, personal safety, substance use, emotional and physical wellbeing.
Targeted Youth Support is creative and informal support that offers young people opportunities to discuss their feelings and opinions with the Targeted Youth Support Workers on a one to one basis throughout that takes place either in school, at home or in the community. We do sometimes include parents/carers and other people important to the young person to meet with us to enable us to have a better understanding of how we all need to work together to improve things.
