Young Peoples Sexual Health Promotion Worker:  -

 

Health Promotion –

I work directly with Secondary Schools and Colleges delivering health promotion and education about general Sexual Health, covering topics, such as Contraception, Sexually Transmitted Infections and Sexuality to name a few.  I also support and deliver National Sexual Health Campaigns as well as local Awareness Months and events in Colleges and the Community. 

I educate young people about the local sexual health services available to them and work in partnership with Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust, Cornwall Council and Brook Advisory Service.

Training –

I offer Sexual Health Training to professionals covering a broad range of topics, which include, Foundation in Sexual Health, Go Girls, Fantasy vs Reality, Working with People with Learning Disabilities around Sexual Health, Delay to name a few.

 C CARD Scheme –

I also coordinate the C CARD Scheme, which is a free condom distribution scheme for young people aged 13-24 living in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly. I recruit and train numerous Young People friendly Service to offer the C CARD Scheme. I also undertake C CARD promotion at Freshers Events in the Colleges and School Sixth Forms and at Health Events across Cornwall for young people.
