Much is said in the media about alcohol (and other substance use) and its effects on young people – it can be confusing to make the right choices, keep safe but still enjoy yourself, particularly when we may not understand how alcohol affects our judgement, our bodies…. and possibly our future

Brief Interventions

Brief Interventions are ‘Single or multiple sessions of motivational discussion focussed on increasing the individuals insight and awareness regarding specific health behaviours and their motivation for change.'

The team helps to make sure that people with a learning disability in Cornwall and Isles of Scilly get equal access to health services.

EEFO

EEFO has been set up to help you with any issues that you may face in everyday life. Our aim is to find all the young person friendly services in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and put them in one easy to find list. There's also lots of articles on a wide range of issues.

Healthy Weight

Healthy Weight works with people of all ages throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to promote healthy eating, physical exercise and weight management. Find events in your area, experience one of our healthy eating and cooking courses for free, join our weight management programme.

Health Champions

This scheme offers the opportunity for volunteers to work alongside NHS projects that support the health of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly communities. Volunteering offers the opportunity to improve your health and wellbeing, while making new friends along the way.

Health Trainer Service

The Health Trainer Service provides individual support to people to support them to make positive changes to their lifestyle. This can either be on a one to one basis or in a group setting.

Healthy Gay Cornwall

Healthy Gay Cornwall provides a range of services and resources to promote good sexual health and general well being for men that have sex with men.

Healthy Schools

A Healthy School is one that promotes physical and emotional health by providing accessible and relevant information and equipping pupils and staff with the skills and attitudes to make informed decisions about their health.

Heartstart

Together with Cornwall Healthy Schools Heartstart Cornwall trains members of the community, schools and local businesses how to deliver emergency life-support training. These groups set up as a FREE training scheme which equips both adults and children with skills to help save lives

Mental Health

The aim of the mental health project is to increase awareness of mental ill-health and reduce stigma throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly which will be achieved through the delivery of training and awareness events across Cornwall & lsles of Scilly.

Sexual Health

The Sexual Health team provide a range of services and information that promotes good sexual health and reduces unplanned teenage pregnancy in our communities across Cornwalland the Isles of Scilly.

Stop Smoking Service

Our aim is to offer FREE help and support to anyone who wants to stop smoking. Using the friendly help and support of a trained NHS advisor plus medication on prescription you are up to four times more likely to successfully quit smoking.
