A celebration of the work of all our Healthy Schools in Cornwall and a conference focusing on the Emotional Health and Wellbeing Core Theme.
- We'll hold seminars on the newly published National Guidance on EHWB and highlight best practice in meeting EHWB criteria.
- There will be workshops and displays from partners working on EHWB in county.
- Along with lots of fun activities and workshops for children.
- And pampering for school staff!
We will also be celebrating the role of singing in emotional health and well-being in singing workshops, one for teachers and one for pupils, with special guest Lin Marsh, one of the leading composers of superb children's songs and music.
There will be a fantastic session with Greg Sampson, creator of RTime and a fantastically inspirational speaker....
The day will finish with a whole group performance of Lin's wonderful song "Believe... " click here for a few bars...

Schools can nominate themselves, Cornwall HS team will be nominating and we'll be asking our key partners to nominate schools they work with...
The awards will be presented at Beleive! on the 14th October 2008

Our Healthy School
The 2008 Cornwall Healthy Schools Children adn Young People Healthy Schools Competition
In addition to the "Scollys" we are running a photography / video competition for children and young people to tell us about their thoughts / feelings about Healthy Schools: "Our Healthy School".
Categories:
Age 5-7 / Age 7-11 “A healthy school is one that cares about good health and happiness inside and out for everyone in the school (pupils, teachers, staff, parents)…” Take a photograph that shows pupils being healthy, safe and happy in your school. Tell us why in a caption of no more than 25 words.
Age 11-16 Make a short video (max 10 mins) that encapsulates all four Core Themes of HS in action in the school and illustrates what HS means to members of the school community including staff, pupils etc.
Photographs can be submitted as jpegs / tiffs via e mail or on disk or as prints
Video can be submitted as a digital file on disc or on tape (although digital will be preferable)
