Information for Schools still involved in the old accreditation process

Introduction to the Criteria used in the old accreditation process

NB. From Sept 2005 the National Healthy Schools Programme is changing and a new accreditation process is being introduced. This information is for schools who joined in 2004 and are completing their existing accreditation process.

Work on the criteria listed below provide evidence of accreditation or reaccreditation to the programme. All schools are required to achieve targets set around Criteria 1 and 2 plus 1 additional criterion of the school's choice (usually set according to activities the school is undertaking as part of their school development). When reaccrediting the school will be transferred to the new programme and will be offered support in making the change - work completed under the old scheme will be taken into account where appropriate.
