ANTI BULLYING IN CORNWALL

Anti Bullying in Cornwall (ABC) is an initiative run by Victim Support and funded by the LEA and NRF.

It has 2 main responsibilities:

  • To provide confidential help and advice through our free phone help line for children and young people who are being bullied.
  • To work with schools in helping to provide an anti bullying ethos and an effective whole school approach to bullying.

The services we provide to all schools are;

  • Help with updating policies
  • Advice on a whole school approach, including questionnaires, student contracts etc.
  • Anti bullying assemblies
  • Anti bullying weeks
  • Staff meetings
  • Staff training in anti bullying strategies and reporting procedure
  • Mediation of difficult cases.

In primary schools we also offer circle time sessions and training of Playtime Pals.

In secondary schools we also offer Peer Support training (Y9-11) and Buddy training (Y7&8).
