What is CHESS?

A framework of learning intentions offering schools an entitlement model to secure continuity and progression across the key stages:

CHESS (Cornwall Health Education Sustance Safety) for Key Stages 1 and 2

To enable children to make healthy and informed choices about what they put in and on their bodies.

• Flexible lessons plans and ideas for teachers
• Learning materials to support learning/teaching when wanted
• Teaching and learning evaluation strategies for pupils and teachers
• Teacher guidance (content and methodology)
• PSHE co-ordinator guidance

• Directory of local support.
